Comfort, Sedation & Anesthesia

At Lyons Creek Dental Care, we understand that visiting the dentist can be a source of anxiety for many patients. Our team is committed to providing a calm, supportive experience tailored to your individual needs.

About Our Comfort-First Services

At Lyons Creek Dental Care, we understand that visiting the dentist can be a source of anxiety for many patients. For some, it is mild nervousness. For others, it can prevent them from seeking care altogether.

Our goal is to remove that barrier. No matter which option you choose, our team is committed to providing a calm, supportive experience tailored to your individual needs.

We are proud to offer two advanced options to ensure your dental experience is as comfortable, safe, and stress-free as possible:

In-Office Deep Sedation and Anesthesia Services
Oral Conscious Sedation

I highly recommend Lyons Creek dental. I suffer from dentist appointment anxiety and the staff has been super understanding and supportive. They really care about making the customer feel comfortable! I no longer have to avoid the dentist!

Our Deep Sedation and Anesthesia Options

This option may be appropriate for:

Patients with complex medical conditions who require specialized care under anesthesia
Individuals undergoing extensive treatment
Patients who prefer to be fully asleep during their dental procedure

In-Office Anesthesia Services

Through our partnership with a trusted anesthesiology group, we offer hospital-grade anesthesia services directly in our office.

With this service, consultations, medical assessments, anesthesia, and treatment can all be completed in one location. There is no need for outside referrals or multiple appointments at different clinics.

Our anesthesiology team provides continuous professional monitoring throughout your procedure to ensure the highest level of safety and comfort.

Oral Conscious Sedation is often helpful for:

Patients with dental anxiety or fear
Individuals who have delayed care due to apprehension
Those who find it difficult to sit comfortably for longer procedures

Oral Conscious Sedation

For patients who feel anxious but do not require full anesthesia, Oral Conscious Sedation offers a safe and effective alternative.

Using a prescribed oral medication, this technique allows you to remain awake while feeling deeply relaxed. You will not be fully asleep, but you may feel drowsy and at ease throughout your treatment.

Dr. Rafoth has undergone specialized training in Oral Conscious Sedation and is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS). This additional training ensures that sedation is administered carefully and appropriately for each patient.

You may be offered:

A pillow for neck support
Warm water for sensitive teeth
A blanket for added comfort
A relaxing spa soundtrack
Music or movie options
A beverage upon arrival

Anxiety-Free Dentistry

Sedation is only one part of how we support patient comfort.

We take time to listen to your concerns, explain procedures clearly, and move at a pace that feels manageable. Every treatment plan is developed with your comfort level in mind.

For many patients, knowing they have options makes all the difference. Small details matter. We will hang your coat, help you settle in, and make sure you feel welcomed from the moment you walk through the door.

Our intention is simple: to make your visit feel supportive and unhurried.

I've been a patient here for a while now and I genuinely look forward to my appointments — and that's not something most people say about the dentist! The entire team makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Dr. Chris in particular strikes the perfect balance between explaining what is going on and being personable and easy to talk to.

As always my experience at Lyons Creek was pleasant, fun, and easy. From the front desk to the treatment chair, I am happy with the professionalism the entire team devoted to my dental health.

I used to be a bundle of nerves at each dentist I went to, but at Lyons Creek, I have had wonderful experiences at each visit. Dr. Rafoth and his staff are truly caring individuals.
