Emergency Dental Care in Shoreline, WA

A tooth breaks at dinner. A crown comes off before a trip. A toothache keeps you up all night. Dental emergencies never come at a good time, and the hardest part is often knowing who to call.
Call us. We see emergency patients every day, and you don't need to be an established patient.

Same-Day Emergency Appointments

We hold time in both our morning and afternoon schedules for emergencies, so you aren't waiting for a cancellation to open up. Call or book online, whichever is easier for you.
New to Lyons Creek? You're welcome here. We see emergency patients whether or not you've been to our office before.

I broke a tooth, they got me in immediately, made a temp crown and took care of the Invisalign issues that needed to be addressed, so I didn't need to come back for another appointment.

Emergencies We See Most Often

Severe toothache from deep decay

Pain that throbs, lingers, or wakes you up at night often means decay has reached deep into the tooth.

Gum abscess

Swelling, a pimple-like bump on the gums, or a bad taste can signal an infection that needs prompt care.

Broken tooth

Save any pieces you can find and bring them with you.

Cracked or split tooth

Some cracks run deep enough to split a tooth apart. The sooner we see it, the more options you have.

Broken or lost crown

Keep the crown and bring it in. Avoid chewing on that side until we see you.

Broken denture

Bring all the pieces, and skip the household glue. It can make a proper repair harder.

What an Emergency Visit Costs

An emergency exam is about $100. Before any treatment starts, we'll walk you through what we found, your options, and what each one costs. No surprises.

For qualified patients, we offer payment plans and CareCredit after a quick soft credit check.

Nervous? You're in Good Hands

Being in pain is stressful enough. If dental visits also make you anxious, tell us when you call and again when you arrive. We'll explain each step before we take it and go at a pace that works for you.

We also make sure you understand your treatment plan, your care options, and your financial arrangements before anything happens. You'll never have to guess what comes next.

First time visiting Lyons Creek, I had an emergency cavity that needed immediate attention, I was nervous and full of anxiety, everybody at the office was so comforting and eased my fears... was well worth the drive from West Seattle.

When Another Setting Is Safer

Go to the emergency room or call 911 for difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling that spreads toward the eye or throat, bleeding that won't stop, a suspected broken jaw, or a head injury.

For patients with an acute heart condition, acute breathing problems, or anxiety severe enough that treatment in our office isn't the right fit, an oral surgeon or hospital may be the better choice. If that's the case, we'll tell you plainly and point you in the right direction.

Before You Get Here

A few simple steps can protect your tooth until we see you:

  • Knocked-out tooth: Pick it up by the crown, never the root, and keep it in milk, saline, or your own saliva. Call right away, since the first 30 to 60 minutes matter most.
  • Broken tooth, crown, or denture: Save every piece and bring it with you.
  • Swelling or pain: A cold compress on the outside of your cheek can help while you wait.
